After some failed attempts at this blogging thing (I feel like an extreme novice!), I'm encouraged as I read some fellow AIM staffers blogs and realize that I, too, can join the technological stage and do this. But then doubt sets in as I wonder, who would want to read my ramblings? What I do know is that God knows my thoughts and cares about every aspect of my life.

I had a blessing this week, a HUGE one, at that. I have an "office"! Four walls and a door! Previously, my space in the far west corner of the building was three walls and a 5' tall cubicle wall. Being able to close a door to do an interview today was such a foreign experience for me! But a blessing, nonetheless!

I had hoped for this blessing for a while, this being able to get away from being distracted while I interviewed on the phone. What I discovered today was that, when the door is closed, I felt isolated from the rest of the people in the office. I wasn't sure I liked that feeling! My remedy was to walk to the "east wing" to interact with people, to make sure that I truly wasn't isolating myself.

We do need each other in this Body called the Bride. None of us can truly function without the ones He gives us to work alongside of, to partner with, and build His kingdom. How grateful I am for His Body and the reassurance that He isn't sending me into battle alone, but with fellow warriors by my side in the fray.
